At the ACADEMIA SUPERIOR event „Rad­i­cal Inno­va­tion: Oppor­tu­ni­ties for the Upper Aus­tri­an Econ­o­my” host­ed by SIEMENS Linz, the Ger­man author and inno­va­tion researcher Jens-Uwe Mey­er spoke on the cul­ture of inno­va­tion and dis­cussed how rad­i­cal inno­va­tion can be sup­port­ed in Upper Aus­tria with busi­ness peo­ple, researchers and polit­i­cal representatives.

Some new tech­nolo­gies have the poten­tial to change our lives rad­i­cal­ly. Com­put­ers, smart­phones, dig­i­tal cam­eras and the Inter­net are just a few exam­ples of tech­nolo­gies that have changed old habits fun­da­men­tal­ly and have estab­lished new mar­kets. Those who are at the fore­front of devel­op­ing and imple­ment­ing such new inno­va­tions is bet­ter equipped for the glob­al com­pe­ti­tion. This is true for com­pa­nies as well as regions.
